I am just about to totally frog Rogue. Inexplicably my gauge has tightened up to a very consistant 20 stitches per 10cm. I did 2 gauge swatches - 1 on 5 mm which yielded 16 per 10cm, and on 4.5mm which was 18 per 10cm. I haven't done it yet - I keep measuring in different spots hoping that the previous measurements have just been anomalies caused by the slubby wool, but there's no denying it. I absolutely will not be using twisted stockinette for the hem lining again, which I paritally blame for my tight gauge, instead i'll use the alternative suggested of 1 x 1 ribbing, with a purl hem turning row. argh! I will definitely swatch in the round this time, but I'm still perplexed why my gauge actually tightened instead of loosened? weirdness....
I did start my hoodie for Max yesterday in the Karaoke, the self-striping rainbow is gorgeous! I need to get a 60cm circ to continue though - so plan for today is to get the needle from spotlight, so I can continue the hoodie, as well as free up the 5mm 40cm circ to swatch again for Rogue *sigh*
