Christmas already?!

Um... hello? 2007? Where did you go?! And more importantly, where did the last 7 weeks go? I'm sure it was only yesterday that I last blogged, but here it is nearly 2 months down the track! A lack of knitting mojo and general malaise was at least partially to blame, and of course this time of year isn't called the "silly season" for no reason. On top of the run-of-the-mill end of year festivities, we also have 2 birthdays and an anniversary to add to the madness, so in all honestly the last 7 weeks have just passed in a blur of wrapping paper, birthday candles and children's parties.

I did have knitting mojo recovery a couple of weeks ago, which was a great relief to me, and I'm sure to my friends and family who were getting heartily sick of the moping. So I knocked off quite a few small Christmas gifts including some wash cloths and fingerless gloves, and I even did some work on Amber's poor neglected self-striping socks. New on the needles are; Hourglass sweater, February Baby Sweater and Katja,

A trip to Bendigo also resulted in some minor stash enhancement, with the acquisition of some Harmony, Rustic, and Aran from the Woollen Mills and my oddest, but most treasured trophy yarn EVER in the form of Collinette Fandango which is.... wait for it folks... NOVELTY YARN! I LOVE this stuff, it is so pettable, and I adore the colours and texture. It is a chenille type cotton from Purl's Palace in Daylesford.

That's all for now - I may be back soon, or I may fall into the same time warp that swallowed up the last few weeks!

I hear you on the lack of knitting progress, I swear some of my UFOs are going backwards. Had noticed some lovely Bendigo stash enhancement in a few Rav profiles LOL noice!!!
