A Wearable Hat?

About this time last year, I embarked on a hat making spree. After unsuccessfully knitting 3 different styles of hat, and being unhappy with how they looked, I finally gave up in disgust with the thought that hats perhaps just aren't 'me'. Even with the help of this very helpful PSA, I couldn't get over the fact that I just didn't feel comfortable in head wear. A particularly cold and frosty few days has made me rethink the 'hat-thing', and I decided I would try, once again, to find a suitable hat. Enter the 'Meret' by Woolly Wormhead. I've knit it in Moda Vera (Spotlight brand) Angora Blend, and it's very soft and drapey, but sheds horribly as it's being knit. I'm hoping that it won't continue to shed, but I'm thinking that it probably will.

I *think* this one works! I DO feel jaunty and cosmopolitan!

It's lovely Sam and it does really suit you :) I think I might add it to my knit list!!! It is particularly cold at the moment, I can only imagine how chilly it is up your way.

I have just started my very first attempt at knitting in the round.
It is the Elizabeth Zimmerman Pi Shawl, which looks curiously like your hat.....
In fact, as I was knitting last night, my daughter's friend suggested if I cast off now she could wear it as a hat.

that is really, really beautiful...I like the shape, it suits you. You need to teach Amber how to take your photo honey so you dont have to do the outstretched arm thing!

I think the hat looks good on you. I am not a hat person too & just bear with the cold.
