Rogue begins....

My Rowan Tweed arrived and I began Rogue yesterday. Twisted stockinette is not much fun and I'm not sure I'm convinced that it's a great hem lining stitch either - I guess time will tell. So far the cables haven't proved too bothersome - as I read on someones blog somewhere, cable chart reading tends to be instinctive and so far it seems that way. I've taken progress pics, but they look way too pathetic to post. I've done the 12 (painful) rows of twisted stockinette, and 14 rows of the body and I've just about finished the front kangaroo pocket, so I am making quick progress. I'm afraid that this jumper may become an all consuming project though. The only way I can see myself putting it down to pick up another project is if I stuff it up or I get totally and utterly stuck - it's a really interesting knit and I'm sure i'm really going to enjoy it. Progress pic's soon.

don't do it Ali! lol! twisted stockinette is knitting through the back leg of each stitch effectively causing each stitch to be totally twisted - it is hellishly tight and creates a bias hem - horrible to work :(
