Stash Enhancement

A lovely large package of yarn arrived on my doorstep today, from this seller at e-bay; Oregon*trail*yarn. In it was 2 skeins of lambs pride worsted in 'brite blue', and 5 skeins of Cotton Fleece in 'prosperous plum'. Both these lots of wool are considered seconds, and I can see the minor imperfections, but really they are *so* minor, that they're hardly noticable. There was also 2 skeins of Wildfoote Luxury Sock yarn in 'Temple Turquoise' and a set of 2.25mm bamboo dpns - I've quickly discovered that you can NEVER have too many 2.75 and 2.25mm dpns.

In the above pic you can also see some KnitPicks Shine. The silly folk at KnitPicks won't ship internationally, which as far as I can work out, is definitely to their loss! Their yarn is good quality, and their prices make the shipping worth it. So thank-you to the lovely friend of Jack's who played middleman for us in the US.

And yes, I DO have plans for it (which I reserve the right to change as I see fit of course...). The Knitpicks Shine is destined for Rusted Root, and although I've never really wanted to do Green Gable before, the prosperous plum just seems to be right for it. The Wildfoote sock yarn will probably become a pair of Monkeys and the lambs pride worsted, some felted clogs for Amber.

There's also a rogue ball of Lion Brand Magic stripes which I bought for $5 at spotlight which I will make some kids socks with - not sure of pattern yet, any suggestions?

So much yarn, so little time....

Well I'm envious...because it all looks so good and exotic sitting there together...but I'd have nowhere to put all that and it would play havoc with my current queue LOL, so looking forward to seeing you transform it all!

If you go to the Lion brand website http://lionbrand.com/ they have bunches of free patterns for their yarn, including sock patterns for Magic Stripes for the whole family.

looks like you will have to knit in your sleep to get through those! But aren't they so pretty, I especially love the stripes. Can't wait to see what you whip up with them.
