I love this bag! It's such a cute pattern, and honestly it only took a few hours to knit. Felting it was another story though! You can still see some stitch definition, despite it going through the wash 4 times and agitating for well over an hour. I'm not sure whether this is an issue with the colour, the yarn or my washing machine - I'm guessing that it wouldn't be noticeable with a darker colour, but I'm still loving the lime green. The yarn was a single strand of 8 ply Rainbow yarn. It's felted nicely, I think it could be even nicer with 2 strands, giving it a bit more thickness. I knit it using my new Boye needlemaster size 6.5mm. The only mod's I made, were to knit the top of the handle on dpns, rather than as an i-cord. I still haven't got my mind around knitting a 7 stitch i-cord, without having at least 2 very loose/open stitches at the back - I think I'll have to have a read of one of my EZ books where she explains idiot cords so that an idiot can understand!

I made a lime green felted bag this week too and also had a very hard time felting it. Maybe the light colour emphasises any remaining stitch definition? I think I'll throw mine in the machine a few more times, I only did it once. I thought 2 hours at 60C should be enough!

that is so cute and the colour is beautiful and I am not generally that fond of green.
You could get some bubble wrap, put it in the bag and then hand felt it some more. really hot soapy water in the sink and use the wrap inside to stop it felting together and on the outside as some abbrasion
