2008 Report Card

So because I'm a bit of a nerd with too much time on my hands, I crunched some numbers this morning and discovered that in 2008 I was not quite so obsessive as I was in 2007 when I first seriously got bitten by the knitting bug.More socks where produced, but less soakers and longies, less jumpers and less short sleeve tops. There were several more FO's produced in 2007, but a count on the hours spent knitting shows that there was approximately the same amount of time spent knitting in both years (no I didn't literally count all hours, I approximated :P). What DID happen in 2008 is that I tried several new techniques - intarsia, entrelac, knitting backwards, cabling without a cable needle and there was a heap more lace and colour-work.

For 2009 I would like to complete:

* a full fairisle vest
* a colour stranded yoked sweater
* knee high socks
* an asymmetrical cabled jacket/cardi/jumper
* a triangular lace shawl

I'm not hung up on any particular patterns, so my pattern ideas may vary. I'm sure new things will appear and appeal, but on the whole I'm looking forward to some new challenges.

Love the chart - I want to do one for myself now! Fairisle is on my list for 2009 as well - I really hope to get to it this year. Happy New Year!
