I've been a busy little knitter over the past week, without a whole heap to show for it. I finished a pair of longies for Mary which are currently drying and are nearly ready to be sent, I've been working on the Quick Knit Jacket for my sister and have finished back, fronts and half a sleeve (and yes, it is knitting up very quickly!), but I've also been unable to tear myself away from my socks. I so very much loved the black rainbow colourway I dyed on the Coccoon yarn last week that I just HAD to knit it up, and over the course of 2 nights, finished my first widdershin!
This pattern ROCKS! I loved knitting it - it is so cleverly constructed, with a reinforced heel flap but no picking up stitches! I chose to do a plain stockinette sock, and I'm so happy I did - this yarn didn't need anything else.
After the fiasco with my nephews hoodie, being claimed by Patrick, I needed to do replacement gifts, which will be required this weekend, and thanks to Jack, who found this fabulous and SIMPLE pattern, I came up with these...
Now I need to make one more pair, and I'll be done! Then I can get back to the Quick Knit Jacket, and hopefully knit it quickly for my sisters upcoming birthday.
