Finished socks!

I am so glad these are finished. They seemed to take forever and ever. The yarn is Noro Kureyon Sock, and as much as I love the colours, I'm not a huge fan of non-superwash socks, and I'm not too sure how these are going to wear. After all the time I spent knitting them, the pattern is pretty much lost in the colour too, so all in all, they're ok, but they are most definitely not my most favourite pair.

It is one scratched off the WIP list though, which did tend to explode a bit in January. I now only have my embossed leaves socks on the needles, which are close to being done, and some secret socks which are over half way and my Rosedale cardigan which is going well, although not thrilling me.

I'm definitely becoming keener on the thought of some toasty cardi's and jumpers since we've had a few days of milder weather, inparticular the Gathered Pullover , Buttony and Twist. Oh, and some gloves, possibly some mittens, and a scarf or too - I love winter!

I think they look great. Have you washed the yarn? How does it feel? I love the colors in the Noro sock yarn but I am unsure how it will feel. Most Noro I think it is too rough even after washing but I just love the colors. Did I mention that already? :)

thanks! I'm yet to wash them, but the general consensus that I've read is that they do soften up, so I live in hope!

The colors are gorgeous. I had used Noro once & the colors ran while I was knitting & made my fingers itchy. I think I was allegic to the dyes but Noro is the only yarn that give this problem.

brilliant job on matching the colour changes. Did you knit the two at the same time?

there was a fortuitous break in the yarn, which in a round about way made it very easy to match the stripes, the curses against Noro quickly turned to thanks ;) And I'm surprised at how much I'm loving them! They are washing and wearing beautifully and have even become my new favourite.
